Loan Portfolio Administrator

Department: Commercial Lending
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY

The Loan Portfolio Administrator is responsible for managing the administrative functions for up to three (3) Commercial Lenders and their portfolios. The role also includes the preparation of consumer and commercial loan documents and ensuring a smooth and efficient loan closing process.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review loan packages to ensure all proper documentation is present and ready for closing.
  • Accurately prepare loan documents in accordance with loan approvals for both consumer and commercial borrowers.
  • Coordinate loan closings with outside legal counsel, third-party service providers, bank lending staff, and other personnel.
  • Calculate accurate closing figures, ensure timely disbursement of loan funds, and forward complete loan packages to the appropriate staff for boarding.
  • Provide timely status updates on credit files and facilitate a smooth closing process.
  • Perform post-closing reviews of loans closed by third parties and bank lending staff.
  • Assist in collecting borrower and guarantor financial information, updated insurance binders from existing borrowers, and outstanding items from loan closings.
  • Monitor commercial borrowing base lines of credit and complete monthly calculations to ensure compliance.
  • Process construction advances.
  • Maintain efficient interaction with internal and external customers, accountants, and other stakeholders.
  • Track credit applications, maintain documentation files, and follow up to obtain any required additional information.
  • Assist in the annual credit reviews of existing commercial borrowers, monitor industry concentrations and portfolio risk, and update credit files.
  • Create activity and status reports as required.
  • Stay knowledgeable of bank lending policies, products, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Contribute positively to a team environment.

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS degree or an AS degree with two years of experience in commercial lending origination support, portfolio management, commercial loan servicing, or consumer and commercial loan documentation.

Salary Ranges: $50,000-$58,000
